The Transport Department on Monday said all signage and information systems at the public transport interchange of the new Huanggang port facility are ready. Information systems would, it stressed, continue to be reviewed and improved based on passenger feedback. In a social media post, the department said it had installed additional display screens at key locations and boarding areas that show route destinations, stops and boarding positions for buses and minibuses. Large directional signages featuring transport mode icons, route numbers and directions have also been placed at major points within the interchange. Public transport operators, the department pointed out, had also set up route signs and queue rails to ensure boarding would be orderly. In the initial period of the crossing's opening, it said, service ambassadors would be stationed on the second-floor concourse to help travellers choose the most suitable way to reach urban areas.
