October 12, 2020 - /PressAdvantage/ - Bernard Nomberg of The Nomberg Law Firm, based in Birmingham, Alabama, has been selected as a 2020 recipient of the prestigious Rising Star Award by the Workers’ Injury Law and Advocacy Group (WILG). This award is given to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and accomplishments in service to WILG and have recently become involved in working with the organization. Learn more here: Workers' Injury Law & Advocacy Group.
Nomberg was presented with this award at the WILG Annual Convention in early October. This award’s significance is magnified as WILG is the national non-profit membership organization dedicated to representing the interests of millions of workers and their families. Many of these workers, and in turn their families, suffer the consequences of work-related injuries or occupational illnesses every year. A majority of these individuals will need expert legal assistance to obtain medical care and other relief through provisions made in workers’ compensation programs. WILG is a network of like-minded advocates for workers’ rights, sharing information and knowledge, a sense of commitment and kinship and networking resources to help each other and their clients.
WILG acts principally to assist attorneys and non-profit groups in advocating the rights of injured workers through education, communication, research and information gathering. WILG was founded in 1995 by a small group of claimants' attorneys and has grown into an organization of over 1,100 members representing every state in the nation. The members of WILG include sole practitioners, attorneys from multi-lawyer firms and paralegals. WILG works every day to make sure that, as the challenges that face injured workers change, they take steps to evolve and meet those new challenges.
Bernard and David P. Nomberg primarily represent injured workers throughout Alabama in workers’ compensation cases. Both attorneys are AV Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell and have been selected as Super Lawyers seven (7) consecutive years. The attorneys have chaired the workers’ compensation sections of the Alabama State Bar, the Birmingham Bar Association and the Alabama Association for Justice.
In a testimonial, Dot P. states, “I had a work-related injury, I didn’t know what to do, what rights I had or what laws protected me. Many firms will take a personal injury case, very FEW will take on workmen’s comp. The best advice I got was to call The Nomberg Law Firm. Bernard and his sweet staff, kept me informed and was so committed to my case. I can truly say without question, I got the best possible outcome because I put my trust in Bernard Nomberg.”
The Nomberg Law Firm’s attorneys specialize in workers’ compensation, personal injury, bankruptcy, and Social Security disability. Additional information is available at nomberglaw.com.

Getting relations with China right is widely seen as Britain’s epoch-defining challenge. It is also one it is woefully unprepared to face. So concluded a recent audit by the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China (IPAC), which highlighted that top negotiators lacked basic Chinese language skills.
