Mythical Maids Shed Light On New York State Delaying Enforcement of Cleaning Products Disclosure
Feb 14, 2019
San Francisco cleaning company owner sheds some light on NYSDEC’s delayed enforcement of the cleaning product disclosure program.
San Francisco, CA, United States - February 14, 2019 /MarketersMedia/ —
Mythical Maids owner Richard Lee addressed the latest hot topic affecting the cleaning industry, the Cleansing Product Information Disclosure. More specifically, Lee addressed the fact that the New York Department of Environmental Conservation has postponed the program enforcement to October 1, 2019, as published in Environmental Notice Bulletin.
Mythical Maids, one of the leading house cleaning services San Francisco and several other locations have come to trust when it comes to referring quality cleaners, with its seat in the State of California appreciates the value of such a program. The state of California launched a similar program named Cleaning Product Right to Know Act, signed in October of 2017. The deadline for implementation of this act in California is January 1, 2020. Due to the New York law not being vetted by cleaning product manufacturers, the authorities decided to push the implementation of the act to later in the year, when experts hope both sides of the argument will reach an amicable solution.
Lee comments: “Given that 15-30% of all new adult asthma cases in the US are attributed to workplace exposure, disclosing the ingredients of the cleaning products cleaning company employees use every day will help alleviate a lot of health issues caused by certain chemicals. Cleaning ingredients can pose a number of health issues such as allergic reactions or respiratory issues, which is why knowing exactly what a cleaning product contains is pivotal for our industry.”
