Recent study by Matin Real Estate, Real Estate Agents in Portland Oregon shows that for some specific neighborhoods, pricing is starting to decline after over nearly a decade of growth.
Portland, United States - July 1, 2019 /PressCable/ —
For many years now we have been waiting to see prices began to slow down on grow and then decline. Well that day is finally here. For the first time in nearly a decade, the Matin Real Estate Group, Real Estate Agents Portland oregon, have found some specific neighborhoods and prices are starting their decline. The areas most hit are the lower pricing points in the three and four hundred thousand range in the suburbs. Despite ultra low interest rates do the the bond rate and political talk of tariff wars, sales pricing is seeing a decline. This is also reflected in some high end luxury markets where buyers are being more frugal with their luxury purchases.
“We should be seeing a slow correction over the coming years” says Jordan Matin, owner of the Matin Real Estate Group at Inspire Realty. “Despite this slow down, we expect to still thrive offering Real Estate Services in Portland Oregon. Portland is still a very attractive city to live in, and we believe this is just a small hiccup in a general correction from nearly 10 years of double digit growth.”
Some buyers may have some fear about the possibility of another recession. But what they do not know is that out of the last 4 recessions, only the recession we last had was incredibly detrimental to the real estate market. In fact, in the previous three recessions, pricing only went down by a few percentage point in one instance and in the other two prices actually increased.
“Recession just means an economic slow down. It does not necessarily mean a crash, even though that is what we last remember. As a professional Real Estate Agent Portland Oregon, it is our duty to properly inform the public so they can make sound financial decisions. Yes things will cool down, but that is good for the economy ultimately and will allow for a stronger foundation on which to grow in the future.”
