Anthony Dallmann-Jones announced today they would donate 33% of all their sales to help homeless dogs attended to by Lisa Connolly, Director of Homes for Pets in Schertz, Texas.
Anthony Dallmann-Jones, owner BestFido.com, says they’ve always admired Homes for Pets and the work they do helping find foster homes for homeless dogs. He said they are thrilled to be able to give to an organization that has given so much and done so much good over the years with such little overhead. Homes for Pets is run mostly by volunteers and without an actual physical building.
Dallmann-Jones said that anyone who purchases any products through the BestFido.com site will, not only receive the best prices available, but they also will be raising funds for a homeless animal shelter, namely Homes for Pets just outside San Antonio, Texas.

About Homes for Pets
Homes for Pets is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and improving the lives of companion animals in the Schertz, Texas area. Its volunteer director, Lisa Connolly, is a pet superhero, rescuing hundreds of cats and dogs over the years and finding them homes. The latest rescue, of a German Shepherd, Dimitri, abandoned on a highway is a real grabber of a story.
The Schertz Shelter provides foster care and facilitates adoptions of homeless pets, and provides community education about responsible pet ownership. The group is comprised solely of volunteers and its activities are financed by membership dues, fundraisers, and donations.
All animals brought into HFP care are examined by a veterinarian, brought up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested (and treated, if positive) and started on heartworm preventative meds if needed, spayed or neutered, treated for any illnesses or parasites, and evaluated for temperament. While in foster care dogs are house trained and usually crate trained and may begin to learn basic commands.
Adoption fees do not usually cover the cost of medical treatment of the animals in HFP’s care. They depend on donations and fundraisers to continue the work. Homes For Pets would not exist without the commitment of the volunteers who give their time to help homeless pets.
BestFido.com has vetted Homes for Pets and finds it to be one of the most outstanding shelter-less shelters in the United States. It is why BestFido.com is happy to help through its constant promotion of the best dog care and training.
