New York City, New York Oct 4, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - As an actively practicing healthcare provider and experienced healthcare administrator, Dr. Hrrigan excels in fostering dynamic collaboration among hospital and clinical leadership, physician organizations, and medical staff. Her responsibilities encompass the supervision and guidance of effective and streamlined electronic health record (EHR) implementation and ongoing enhancements.

Dr. Harrigan brings to the table a wealth of expertise in optimizing provider workflows, spearheading quality initiatives, and executing regulatory content build strategies within diverse multi hospital and clinic environments. Her approach to healthcare informatics is rooted in evidence-based clinical methods, underpinned by a profound understanding of EHR architecture and configuration.

She is the medical director of Hospice Compassus, and since July of 2023, Dr. Fauntleroy has been serving as an Executive Physician Informatics Consultant at Corewell Health, where she provides executive leadership advisory for the One Epic Ecosystem Corewell initiative, aimed at unifying 22 hospitals onto a single platform to enhance clinical excellence and standardize practices. Her skills encompass executive advisory, clinical informatics, leadership, quality initiatives, system administration, and healthcare regulatory expertise.

Having grown up in Mexico, Dr. Harrigan graduated with her Medical Degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Mexico. Her first residency was in general medicine and surgery in Mexico, with a second residency in family medicine at the University of New Mexico Hospital.

Currently, she is completing her grandfathered Fellowship Degree in Physician and Clinical Informatics to bring her career full circle expertise.

Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Harrigan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice family medicine and its sub-specialties.

A woman of many titles, Dr. Harrigan holds the position of CEO/CMO at Physician EHR Solutions, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her work here involves advising hospitals, healthcare systems, and outpatient practices on provider workflow, clinical improvement, and EHR implementation.

Additionally, she serves as Medical Director at Hospice Compassus, a contract position she has held since September 2011 in New Mexico. In this capacity, she oversees end-of-life care for a large number of patients and takes on the role of primary community outreach director.

Preceding this, Dr. Fauntleroy served as a Physician Executive in Clinical Informatics at Impact Advisors from September 2022 to June 2023, and as a Clinical Informatics Advisor at EvidenceCare from August 2022 to January 2023.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

The key factors contributing to Dr. Harrigan's success can be attributed to a combination of personal determination and a commitment to overcoming challenges. Initially, she faced the challenge of disproving the notion that her success was solely reliant on being a former beauty queen, as she was told. However, her drive to make a meaningful impact on her community compelled her to pursue a career in healthcare.

As someone responsible for overseeing a team of over 200 doctors, Dr. Harrigan's primary focus is ensuring that each one consistently upholds their professional standards. This involves promoting the use of evidence-based medicine and delivering the best possible care to patients. These principles have been instrumental in shaping her path to success in the healthcare field.

Among her various accolades include the Continental Who's Who Physician Executive Award 2023, National Leadership Award Healthcare Informatics 2023, New Mexico Top Doc 2023, New Mexico Top Docs Award, New Mexico Top Docs, Albuquerque Business First 40 under 40 Award, National Medical Director Leadership Award in Hospice and Palliative Care, and Continental "Who's Who" Executive Physician Award.
