"I think it's very important for people to understand their diagnosis and medical condition and so I do spend most of my time educating my patient population on their disease processes. I usually work more than a full schedule, six days a week and on some evenings giving members plenty of opportunities to come in for appointments around their work schedules" expressed the doctor.
A native of Oxnard, California, she moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA, where she was a psychobiology major, was very involved with tutoring, and also played lacrosse. She then attended Charles Drew University for medical school and finished her residency in family medicine at the White Memorial Medical Center.
In pursuit of clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice family medicine and its sub-specialties.
Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.
On a more personal note, Dr. Crutcher is married and has two beautiful children. Together, they enjoy attending UCLA football and basketball games, riding their bikes in the park, and watching movies in their spare time.
