Floors and Beyond Launches Floors That Witness Life Campaign Across Northern Virginia

Aug 8, 2026

The family-owned flooring contractor, established in 1S87, is reframing how homeowners across Fairfax, Ashburn, Woodbridge and other Northern Virginia communities think about their floors — as the quiet stage where daily life, milestones and memories unfold over decades.

United States, August 8, 2026 -- Floors and Beyond, a family-owned flooring contractor serving Northern Virginia since 1987, has launched a brand campaign titled Floors That Witness Life. The campaign reframes flooring installation around a simple observation: a home's floor quietly witnesses more of daily life than almost anything else a family owns. It reaches homeowners this month across Fairfax, Arlington, Vienna, McLean, Reston, Ashburn, Leesburg, Sterling, Woodbridge, Manassas and Gainesville.

The campaign centers on the idea that a floor is the stage on which a household's story plays out. The same surface absorbs a toddler's first steps, the rush of a dog greeting the family at the door, holiday mornings, graduation parties and the last hug in a doorway before a child leaves for college. Rather than competing on price, the Northern Virginia flooring company is inviting homeowners to consider what their floors will hold in the years ahead.

"A floor sees more of your life than almost anything else you own," said Kamal Shokraei, founder of Floors and Beyond. "It watches first steps and marriage proposals. It holds the dancing in the kitchen, the holiday mornings, the dogs running to the door, the parents who slowly become grandparents. We have never thought of ourselves as people who install flooring. We build the stage where a family's life happens."

Floors and Beyond was established in 1987 and remains family-owned and operated. Every project is completed by the company's own in-house crews rather than subcontracted labor, a practice credited for its consistency across nearly four decades. Founder Kamal Shokraei brings approximately 40 years of hands-on field experience to the trade, spanning hardwood installation and refinishing, luxury vinyl plank, laminate, tile, carpet, stair runners and floor repair.

Much of that experience comes down to what happens beneath the surface. Each installation is built from the subfloor up, accounting for the region's humidity swings and older housing stock so that hardwood, tile and luxury vinyl plank hold up through Northern Virginia summers and winters alike.

The company provides flooring services across Northern Virginia to homeowners and businesses in Falls Church, Springfield, Burke, Centreville, Chantilly, Herndon, Great Falls, Brambleton, South Riding, Bristow, Haymarket and Lake Ridge, along with neighboring communities in the greater Washington region. Its work spans residential installations and commercial flooring projects.

The message reflects the company's own history in the area. Over nearly four decades, the same crews have returned to homes in communities such as Oakton, Annandale, Purcellville and Dumfries to refinish floors first installed years earlier, sometimes for a second generation of the same family. Several of those neighborhoods, including Ashburn and Leesburg, have grown from rural crossroads into dense suburbs during the years the company has worked in them.

"Every flooring company promises the same things — a fair price, quality work, family owned. People do not remember any of that," said Kamal Shokraei. "They remember the room where their family grew up. Our job is to build something worthy of the moments it will hold."

The Floors That Witness Life campaign appears across the company's website and social channels through the remainder of 2026, pairing images of finished floors with the everyday moments those floors go on to hold. Homeowners can view the full range of services and request a flooring consultation through the Floors and Beyond website.

"One day the house gets quiet. The children are grown, the parties are memories, and the same floor is still there," Kamal Shokraei said. "It held every footstep that ever mattered in that home. That is what we are really installing. Not a floor. A place for a life to happen."
