Black Friday and Cyber Monday are over, but one expert says that local business owners should not let their guard down when it comes to bringing in new business.
“Just because the two main shopping holidays have passed us, that doesn’t mean consumers are finished shopping,” says a spokesman from FindUsLocal.com, an online local business directory that provides local business owners with an effective and free method of getting their business name in front of shoppers. “People will continue to shop in mass in local stores until the end of the year,” he says.
He’s talking about the hoards of shoppers that still have gifts to buy for those on their list before Christmas. He says that although many of these people will buy those gifts locally, shoppers will turn to the internet to find the businesses they visit.
“Even if someone has a local shop, they need to ensure that shoppers can find their business online. In fact, studies show that almost 100 percent of shoppers look online to find information about local businesses such as the address, phone number, directions to the store, and what types of payment it accepts.”
He also says that using local business directories is the easiest way to ensure local shoppers can find a local business. “Just go to a credible local business directory like FindUsLocal.com and find your business listing. Then, claim it and look at the current information to make sure it’s correct. If it’s not, alter the details to ensure that shoppers get the right information about your business.” He says that local shop owners can add more details such as the types of products sold, prices, and even notes and hints that will make shopping at that store more convenient or successful.
“The bottom line,” he says, “is that shoppers aren’t done. If you want shoppers to find your local business, be sure to do everything necessary to ensure that they can find it.”
FindUsLocal.com is a local business directory that uses GEO location technology to make each visitor’s experience unique. It strives to be the best free business directory available by consistently advertising, improving the site, and working with small business owners to provide free advertising.
