After completing her education, she was a full-time faculty member at the Weill-Cornell Medical College for many years before she went into practice. She remains adjunct faculty of the medical center and has admitting privileges to New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

As a testament to her continued education, the doctor is board-certified in cardiovascular disease (1989) and in internal medicine (1983) by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
