Downers Grove, IL Cat Boarding With 24/7 Supervision for Anxious Pets Announced
Oct 2, 2026
Belle Aire Kennels (630-969-3145) has announced 24/7 supervision for cat boarding in Downers Grove, Illinois, an arrangement intended to help anxious cats, since owners live on-site around the clock.
Downers Grove, United States, October 2, 2026 /PressCable/ -- Belle Aire Kennels, a family-owned pet boarding facility in Downers Grove, Illinois, has announced 24/7 supervision for cat boarding, an arrangement intended to help anxious cats in particular. Owners John and Melissa O'Driscoll live on the property, so they have a familiar presence available to check on boarding cats overnight rather than only during staffed daytime hours.

Continuous monitoring matters, says Melissa O'Driscoll, because feline stress is tied to more than behavior. According to the American Association of Feline Practitioners and International Society of Feline Medicine's Feline Environmental Needs Guidelines, environmental stress in cats has been linked to physical health conditions, including feline idiopathic cystitis, a bladder condition, and other stress-related sickness behaviors documented in peer-reviewed veterinary research. Belle Aire Kennels explains that cats unfamiliar with a boarding environment can be especially prone to this kind of stress response, which is why they take the 24/7 care approach so that anxious animals are not left alone.
Belle Aire Kennels says round-the-clock presence allows staff to notice early signs of stress in a boarding cat, such as hiding, reduced appetite, or changes in litter box use, rather than only during scheduled rounds. This kind of early observation can matter for cats prone to stress-related illness, and that owners are informed if any concerning behavior is noticed during a stay.
Its approach for anxious cats also includes maintaining consistent feeding and routine schedules, keeping cat boarding areas separate from dogs, and following any specific care instructions, including medications, provided by the owner before check-in. Belle Aire Kennels states it can administer diabetic and other prescribed medications as needed. The facility, which has operated for more than 60 years, is state-certified and inspected and sits in a quiet residential neighborhood.
The facility serves cat owners in Downers Grove, Lombard, Wheaton, Naperville, and other nearby communities. Belle Aire Kennels encourages owners of anxious cats to discuss their pet's specific triggers and comfort routines with staff before booking a stay.
