Active in training medical students and residents, Dr. Ali serves as an Assistant Professor at the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine of the University of Houston & Baylor College of Medicine.

A Houston native, Dr. Ali graduated from the University of Houston with Honors. He obtained his medical degree from the University of North Texas' Health Science Center in Dallas/Fort Worth. Concurrently in medical school, he obtained a Certificate in Public Health.
Dr. Ali furthered his medical education by specializing in physical medicine & rehabilitation at the University of Texas Dell Medical School within the Seton Brain & Spine Institute. His special interest in pain medicine led him to further sub-specialize in pain management at the University of Texas Medical Branch with an affiliation with the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the doctor is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation & the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Interventional pain management uses minimally invasive procedures to help relieve chronic pain and improve a patient's quality of life. Interventional pain management specialists are trained to accurately evaluate and diagnose the source of the pain so that they can recommend the best and most appropriate way to treat it. The majority of physicians who use interventional approaches are trained in the field of anesthesiology.
Active in and out of the medical community, Dr. Ali has presented at numerous medical conferences. He has also been featured in various news articles and is the Medical Correspondent for FOX26 Houston where he is regularly on television discussing various current medical issues in the community.
Beyond his love and dedication to medicine, Dr. Ali enjoys spending time with his friends and family, including his wife and two kids. He is active at the gym and routinely exercises, as well as plays basketball outdoors when weather permits.
