In pursuit of clinical excellence, the doctor is board certified in obstetrics & gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). He is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, and the Infectious Disease Society of America.
With a passion for teaching, he joined the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Eastern Virginia Medical School in September 2014, with a focus on maternal-fetal medicine. He has since made significant contributions to the field through his research, published articles on Doppler ultrasound, and has given numerous presentations at the national level.
Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system - vagina, cervix, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).
