Prior to her current endeavors, she served as a pharmacy intern at Walmart in Plymouth, Wisconsin. From August of 2010 until August of 2013, she served as a cashier at the same venue.
On the subject of her educational background, Dr. Schaefer graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2018. In order to stay up to date in her field, she maintains professional membership with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and Lambda Kappa Sigma.
Clinical pharmacy is the branch of pharmacy in which clinical pharmacists provide direct patient care that optimizes the use of medication and promotes health, wellness, and disease prevention. Clinical pharmacists often work in collaboration with physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals. They can enter into a formal collaborative practice agreement with another healthcare provider, generally one or more physicians, that allows pharmacists to prescribe medications and order laboratory tests.
