Emphasizing a healthy lifestyle, preventive care, and appropriate diagnostic and interventional treatments, he is the Owner & Operator of San Diego Varicose Vein Treatment Center with offices in La Mesa and San Diego, California.

With an impressive skill set, Dr. Taghizadeh has extensive training and experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of vein conditions such as spider veins, varicose veins, venous insufficiency, ankle discoloration, and leg swelling. Patients trust him for the management of their cardiac conditions; he treats and monitors heart-related conditions such as atherosclerosis, hyperlipidemia, heart murmurs, heart valve issues, and more.

Using state-of-the-art ultrasound technology, he performs echocardiograms, venous Doppler studies, carotid ultrasounds, Abdominal aortic ultrasounds, and many additional diagnostic procedures.

"I became a physician because I have always loved close and meaningful relationships with people. My goal is to care for my patients and provide the most accurate information about their condition or diagnosis. This includes defining and clarifying the issues for each individual and providing the best possible treatment that is available in managing their health" expressed the doctor.

After graduating from West Chester University in 1989, Dr. Taghizadeh earned his medical degree from Saint George's University School of Medicine in 1996. He then went on to perform his residency in internal medicine, fellowship in cardiovascular disease, and fellowship in interventional cardiology at Albany Medical Center in 1998, 2001, and 2002, respectively.

Thereafter, he opened up his own cardiology practice in North Carolina where, in addition to cardiology, he began treating patients for venous disease. With treatments such as endovenous ablation, clarivein, varithena, sclerotherapy, and ambulatory phlebectomy, Dr. Taghizhas improved the quality of many of his patients' lives and continues to do so.

In 2015, he moved to the greater San Diego area where he began his new practice, San Diego Varicose Vein Treatment Center.

He and his team at San Diego Varicose Vein Treatment Center provide high-quality, comprehensive care for visible veins, venous insufficiency, lower extremity swelling, and a broad array of cardiovascular services. Dr. Taghizadeh has expertise with a variety of minimally invasive and surgical procedures, including catheter procedures, radiofrequency ablation, laser treatments, ClariVein, Varithena, and microphlebectomy, among others.

Interventional cardiology is a branch of cardiology that deals specifically with the catheter-based treatment of structural heart diseases. Interventional cardiologists are cardiology subspecialists who are trained to place stents in clogged arteries to allow blood to flow properly and reduce the risk of stroke or heart attack, as well as to repair holes in the heart or place special devices in the heart to help it function properly.

Outside of his work, Dr. Taghizadeh enjoys playing chess and cooking for family and friends. He is fluent in both English and Farsi.
