Launched by Joseph Kohn, Wedding Photography by IQphoto is sometimes considered the passion-project of the Kohn family. This is due to the fact that Kohn’s mother and brother share his passion for creating striking and inventive pieces of art through their wedding photography. While Kohn often works at the fore, weaving unobtrusively through an event to ensure everything goes according to plan and their clients’ wedding day memories are dutifully recorded, his mother is primarily involved in the post-production process, lending her eye and creative energies to the design of their clients’ wedding albums, which now number in the hundreds. Kohn’s brother is similarly engaged as a professional wedding photographer, and they work together to weave a wedding tale that stands the test of time and speaks to album browsers many years down the line.

The studio mostly works in and around San Francisco but their experience extends elsewhere as well, including shoots in Iceland, Rome and more. As a result of their years of work in the region, however, they boast a wide degree of knowledge regarding the best local spots for wedding photography as well a number of other insights that lend themselves well to an efficient shoot. San Francisco is known around the world for its picturesque and vibrant streets, landmarks and communities, and the Bay area is no exception. While it is often the perfect backdrop (or even the centerpiece) for beautiful urban photography, Wedding Photography by IQphoto’s results are a testament to the fact that it is also the perfect setting for a wedding. Furthermore, the studio’s vast experience taking photographs in numerous conditions has boosted their capabilities in multiple ways.

On one hand, they are always able to listen to a couple’s requirements and preferences in order to make a highly educated recommendation that will give them the best chances of obtaining the most stunning wedding photographs. This takes into account the time of day the couple is available or wants their pictures taken, the schedules of everyone involved (including members of the wedding party), the prevalent weather conditions at any time of year and so on.

On the other hand, this vast experience also gives them the enormous benefit of being able to respond to nearly any obstacle or challenge. Should there be busy crowds, poor weather patterns or other unwanted conditions present, Wedding Photography by IQphoto is more often than not capable of coming up with solutions that make their wedding clients happy. In some cases, this can be as simple as rescheduling a shoot, but the studio is adamant that this is not always necessary. If there is any way that a shoot can take place despite unfriendly circumstances, the studio asserts that they will be able to find it. In any case, their clients will always be able to discuss their options openly with the studio’s photographers.

This versatility is evident in the reviews shared by their clients. For instance, Stacie T. says in her review that, “Even with a small ceremony, we ran into our own ‘dramas.’ A few minutes after my husband and I said our ‘I do's,’ the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate City Hall for nearly an hour. Joseph still took his time and made the most of our situation being stuck outside (in the heat) and took pictures whenever he felt inspired. He was totally understanding that the fire alarm was out of all of our control and was insistent on getting us back in to continue the shoot. Near the end, Joseph took the time to ask my husband and I if we wanted any particular family photos (parents only, bride's side, groom's side, etc) and was great about making sure each person was positioned just right for each photograph.”

The full review goes into much more detail regarding the studio’s approach to wedding photography, and interested parties may read it in its entirety on the studio’s website at the following link: https://www.iqphoto.com.
